Scorpia.
He doesn't. It says that he is dead. But actually he was wearing a bulletproof vest so the shot didn't kill him. To answer your question, it is when the hijacked air force one plane is about to take off, during the fight with Damian Cray.
Read the book, lazy. But if you have to know, he does.

Alex was 15 years old by the end of Scorpia Rising, which debuted in 2010, so he would be 17 in 2012.
The 9th Will be called Yassen. It covers Yassen Gregorovich, the assassin's, childhood, his growing up, and what inspired him to work for Scorpia, the criminal organization that is Mi6's worst enemy. Alex Rider will appear only very briefly towards the end, at the point where Yassen kills his uncle, Ian Rider. I can only assume that he also appears at the point parallel to the end of Stormbreaker and Eagle Strike.Incidentally, the tenth will be called Endurance Point. I have no idea what happens then, but I know that Alex appears a lot more then.
Yes. Yassen Gregorvitch was given orders to shoot Herod Sayle, And actually ended up shooting Sayle just as Sayle was about to kill Alex Rider. Yassen did not shoot Alex, because he claimed he had not been given orders to do so. He also advised Alex to leave the world of violence and murder alone.
If your talking about his physical appearance, it didn't change. At the end of the last book (Crocodile Tears) Alex turned 15. However, Alex is described to show pain and knowledge in his eyes way beyond his years. Basically, he changed from being a simple English schoolboy to a teen age spy who witnessed people being killed or doing horrible things. Also, although Alex has never directly killed anyone he was certainly responsible for several bad guys' deaths. All of that has taken a toll on Alex. You understand better the way Alex has changed if you read the books. It's hard to describe how much he changed throughout 7 books in just a couple sentences. And hey, the series is not over. Horowitz said on his website that he planed on making more Alex Rider books.
Alex rider is investigating a school for rich kids that have been expelled from schools etc. he has to disguise himself as a rich kid from a dad who runs "friend supermarkets", and finds a secret about the person who runs the school of point blank..........
