Yes. Yassen Gregorvitch was given orders to shoot Herod Sayle, And actually ended up shooting Sayle just as Sayle was about to kill Alex Rider. Yassen did not shoot Alex, because he claimed he had not been given orders to do so. He also advised Alex to leave the world of violence and murder alone.
Herod Sayle
The mine is used for Herod Sayle's factory for putting small pox diseases in the Stormbreakers
Herod Sayle is the main antagonist in the book "Stormbreaker" by Anthony Horowitz. He is a wealthy and eccentric businessman who is secretly plotting to use his revolutionary computer system to harm children. Sayle is manipulative and power-hungry, making him a dangerous foe for the protagonist, Alex Rider.
Well it depends on what country your in. if you are in the USA and reading the book Herod Sayle is Egyptian. If you are in UK and reading the book He is Lebanese.
In the book he was born in Egypt but in the movie it was different.
Darrius Sayle has the headquarters for making the Stormbreakers in Port Talon, a small(er) fishing village. Alex goes there for his mission.
Well, he's most likely insane. According to Alex, most of his adversaries are. Mr. Sayle also only cares about revenge. He is willing to kill off millions just to get his way. Its also because while Herod was in a British school everyone bullied him. The person who bullied him more substantially eventually ended up as the Prime Minister of England therefore he wishes to kill everyone for Revenge
Alex was brave, respectful, and daring. *He was brave because he goes super spy working for the MI6 goes on another one of his adventures to stop some crazed power-hungry lunatic. *He was respectful because he respected anyone older than him. *And finally, he was daring because he dares to kill his two old friends, who are the villain in the story.
Ian Rider is killed by Yassen after he eludes the gunmen.
Alex Rider saves children of London from Small Pox and Yassen Grovoyavich kills villian.
The main theme in Stormbreaker is the battle between '''''good vs evil''.''' the other themes in the text such as appearance verses reality, the destructive nature of hatred and vengeance, the importance of patriotism, courage honour and self-sacrifice and the issue of Alex's destiny, can all be linked very closely to the man theme of good verses evil and the triumph of good over evil. I had to do an Essay on it , hope this helps :))
After being caught, Alex escapes being stung by a giant jellyfish, and grabs a ride in a helocopter to London. Alex then parachutes into the museum and destroys the button that is supposed to launch the Stormbreaker computers. Alex then chases Sayle to a tower, where they battle it out on the roof. Yassen Gregorovich comes and kills Sayle, but saves Alex from falling to the ground, many stories down below. Yassen then tells Alex that he should not enter into the world of spies, but Alex swears he will kill Yassen one day for murdering his Uncle.
