After being caught, Alex escapes being stung by a giant jellyfish, and grabs a ride in a helocopter to London. Alex then parachutes into the museum and destroys the button that is supposed to launch the Stormbreaker computers. Alex then chases Sayle to a tower, where they battle it out on the roof. Yassen Gregorovich comes and kills Sayle, but saves Alex from falling to the ground, many stories down below. Yassen then tells Alex that he should not enter into the world of spies, but Alex swears he will kill Yassen one day for murdering his Uncle.
There isn't really a static character in Stormbreaker as its the first book everybody changes quite a lot.
