The term "Camelot" was applied to the presidency of John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) by his wife, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Camelot refers to the seat of the court of the legendary King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table; it has come to mean a place or time of idyllic happiness.
John F. Kennedy did eat at the Canajoharie Hotel in Canajoharie, NY. My grandfather, Edward McKone was the proprietor of the hotel at the time. At the time he was Senator Kennedy and he was campaigning for the presidency. I believe the date of his visit was in Sept. 1960. From what I understand the Canajorarie Hotel is no longer there. I think my mom said it was demolished to make a parking lot. Kelly
Due to his popularity at the time he was assassinated i would guess he would have been elected again and probably even stay in the presidency for a full four terms.
