Aeolia, where the wind God Aeolus lives. In the book it mentions the cyclops as being cannibals and I think this is who you are talking about. By the way, they end up back in Aeolia after a while on sea because Odysseus's crew think the bag given to him by Aeolus was full of riches. They open the bag, and are blown back to Aeolia. My source is just being a high school student that has read the book. Hope I helped!
an axe and adze
To the island Aeoli to see Aeolus god of the winds
an axe and adze
Aeolus bottled up all winds but the west winds and put them in an ox-hide bag for Odysseus.
When Odysseus left his men to go pray on the island of Thrinacia, they disregarded his warnings not to harm the sacred cattle of the sun god Helios. As a result, the gods punished them by causing their ship to be destroyed in a storm and all of his men perished except for Odysseus.
odysseus had 12 ships when he made it to leastrygonians he came off that island with only one ship left
None. They all were killed, but one man was left on the island of the cyclopes, who is mentioned in the Aeneid.
you need to travel counterfeild island and go to the left
odysseus continually boasted as he left the island of the cyclopes that his name was odysseus and he was from ithica and that he had beaten polyphemos at his own game. this pissed off polyphemos and made him pray to his daddy poseidon that odysseus would never make it home.
After leaving Calypso's island, Odysseus washes ashore on the island of Phaeacia, where he is found by Princess Nausicaa. The Phaeacians, known for their hospitality, welcome him and provide him with food and shelter. Eventually, they help him return to his homeland of Ithaca by providing him with a ship.
Odysseus and his men left with a warning to be careful of:Sirens, monster in the sea,and not to sop on Helio's Island
After they leave the cyclopes' island, Odysseus takes his ships back to the neighboring island that they stopped at before (the one with really good land for farming but no seeds have been planted and lots of goats). They sacrifice the goat that Odysseus used to escape- Polyphemus' biggest ram. They sacrifice it to Zeus, but Zeus ignores it.
