The reference is to Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians in the New Testament, chapter 13, verses 9-12:
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
The reference is not explicitly to heaven, but to the time "when that which is perfect is come" (v. 10). The word "perfect" is often used in the NT in the sense of "mature," and Paul may be referring here to the state that he elsewhere describes as "spiritual." Compare this same epistle, chapter 2, vv. 14-16,
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
