The Azteca horse originated in Mexico where it is their national horse. It is a cross of Criollo and Andalusian bloodlines. In the USA we have a version called the American Azteca that also allows Quarter horse and Paint bloodlines to be used instead of Criollo.

The breed of horse would be the Azteca. In Mexico the cross is predominately Criollo x Andalusian. While in the USA the American Azteca uses Quarter horse or paint stock in place of the Criollo.
You would get a cross bred horse with the possibility of it maybe qualifying to be registered as an American Azteca, though it would likely only get partial registry for not being a purebred.
