The aorta branches several times, initially into the L and R coronary arteries, followed by brachiocephalic artery and left carotid arteries, left subclavian, and then the aorta arches and becomes the descending aorta where a number of other arteries branch off of it.
Check the related link for a diagram on the thoracic aorta.
When the heart leaves the left ventricle through the aorta, it moves into progressively smaller arteries and arterioles of the systemic circulation. Eventually the blood reaches the capillaries, where it allows the diffusion of nutrients and oxygen to the body tissues.
after blood leaves the aorta it travels throughout the body.
to the rest of your body
left ventricle
From mitral valve the blood will go to left ventricle. From there, the blood will go to ascending aorta. Then arch of aorta. Then descending aorta. Then abdominal aorta. Then to common iliac artery. then to external iliac artery. Which continue as the femoral artery. Then popliteal artery. Then posterior tibial artery. Then medial and lateral planter arteries. Then the branches will go to your great toe.
The left Ventricle pumps blood out to your body
Blood goes in this order... Right Atrium -> Right Ventricle -> Lungs -> Left Atrium -> Left Ventricle -> Ascending Aorta -> Descending Aorta. So neither pump blood to the the Left Ventricle but the Left Ventricle pumps blood to the ascending aorta.
There are two tubes that take blood out of the heart. These are the pulmonary artery and the aorta.
left ventricle
blood travels from the ascending aorta to the aortic arch to the descending aorta
left venatricle pumps the blood in to aorta rapidly 75% blood is pumped : aorta divides in to artries which

The blood is pumped to the aorta and is then distributed to all the parts of the body.
If you are talking about where does the blood inside the descending aorta come from, it comes from the aortic arch, which comes from the ascending aorta. If you are talking about the blood that nourishes the tissues of the aorta, it is the vasa vasorum.
It is pumped to the aorta, the largest artery in the body

The aorta supplies blood to the heart.
