this is an excellent explaination of where "air" goes from the minute you inhale it through your mouth or nose until it reaches your body's cells. explains how eoxygen and carbion dioxides gases are exchanged in understandable language and tells how the lungs turn oxygen into fuel for your tissues and organs. short, concise, and an easy read. Im not actually sure what exactly happens, But having had a large air bubble go through me, I just felt I had to say something. First off in order to kill you, you need like a yard or more of air in an I.V. tube to actually kill you. But once in your blood i believe it does pass through your heart and veins but will eventually be absorbed by your body. Like I said I'm not sure if that's what really happens, but I have had about 2ft of air in an I.V. tube go through me and by the time i saw it, it was too late. But im alive and was not painful. I thought I felt it bubble in my heart, but I could of imagined it, cause I thought I was about to die, LOL.
