It's in the front of the intake manifold secured in using one torx bolt. Look down the front of the car between the radiator and the manifold and you will see the sensor pushed into the manifold and secured with a torx bolt.
You adjust the timing by moving the crank angle sensor. The crank angle sensor is driven by the camshaft closest to the intake manifold (passenger side of the engine) and is located behind the cylinder head and valve cover. Losen the bolt that secures the crank angle sensor, in order to move the crank angle sensor.
The knock sensor is located under the intake manifold on the passenger side of the engine. It can be accessed from under the vehicle. Look above and to the slight left of the oil filter on the back of the engine. The knock sensor will resemble a small battery terminal with a bolt through to the engine.
On the intake side of the head just below the intake manifold. The intake manifold has to come off to get to it. It's held in with just one bolt.
under the engine on the passenger side by the manifold have fun I think it is a three bolt. The Third bolt is a dosey
On driver side of block by the bolt in exhaust manifold closest to front of vehicle
It is underneath the intake manifold. If you look straight down from your throttle body, you will see a sensor with one wire coming out and a bolt going through the middle of it, that is the knock sensor.
if you have a 2.0 DOHC the knock sensor is on the passenger side of the block.. from the underneath side of the vehicel you remove the support bracket that holds up the intake manifold.. and its right behind it.. you have to use a small tool to pull the wire clip from the harness and it then pulls apart.. if i remember right the sensor is held in with a 12mm bolt.. its that easy.. i am not so sure it has one,i will have to check.
the sensor this located front under passenger side head #12 or 13 mm socket take bolt out an pull sensor
Standing on the driver side, looking under the center intake manifold; you will see a round black object with a 10mm or 12mm bolt in the center, which is the knock sensor.
Its on the passenger side of engine around the timing area... 10mm bolt... and a clip connector
On the top of the block, under the intake manifold. Its about 1" round by .5" high with a wire comming out and a bolt right in the center.
