Everywhere, including former Mexican territories in Central America and the US Southwest. Most cities in Mexico were founded by Spanish settlers once they conquered the local populations. In some instances, they also included the original native american name. Some examples include San Luis Potosi (after Saint Louis), San Pedro Cholula (after Saint Peter and the former name of the place, Cholula) or San Francisco (after Saint Francis of Assisi).
