The Adirondack Mountains, Taconic Mountains, and the Hudson Highlands have the most resistant bedrock.

IDKKKK!!!!!!!!!IDKKKK!!!!!!!!!....well its more along the lines of the taconic mountain region toward the east coast. it is composed of the oldest rock in the state, which in geology, means its the toughest.
The Empire State Building is made on bedrock.
