The Hebrew writer states that "it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes the judgment" (Heb. 9:27, NASB). The death referred to here is the bodily/physical death that comes to all persons and the judgment is the final judgment, the day in which, "God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ" (Romans 2:16, NASB).
The nearest reference I can find to your "gives space to repent" question is in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow about His promises, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."
The Gospel call to repentance was initiated by John the Baptist (Matt. 3:2) and subsequently affirmed by Jesus Himself (Matt. 4:17, Luke 13:3,5). It is an oft repeated call throughout the New Testament. Of course, the Apostle Paul stated most clearly that in and through the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, "God [was] now declaring to men that all everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead" (Acts 17:30-31).
The above are unalterable and undeniable truths. This final judgment WILL occur on a day of God's choosing. Until then, we should think and live as Peter suggests, "Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of the our Lord to be salvation..." (2 Peter 3:14-15a).
I hope this helps you in your search for the truth.
