Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Mar 13:32 "No one knows, however, when that day or hour will come---neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son; only the Father knows.
Mar 13:33 Be on watch, be alert, for you do not know when the time will come.
In the verses above Jesus is talking about his return to earth he mentions the heaven and earth passing away and only the Father knows but if you look at the context you will see 'that day' is his return.
I think The Bible doesn't say only God knows when the world will end.
Mark's Gospel, speaks about the end of the world and the return of Jesus in the lifetimes of those still living. Having given the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple as a sign of his imminent return, Mark 13:24-26 continues, "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light and the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken and then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory." He concluded by saying that he would return within the lifetimes of some of his own generation: "Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done." So, around 70 CE, this gospel is confident that the end of the world was imminent - within perhaps four years of writing. However, Mark 13:32 warns that no one but the Father knows the very hour or day the world would end, so cautions the disciples to be constantly on their guard for when it would happen.
By the 80s of the first century, the time when Matthew's Gospel was written, the return predicted in Mark's Gospel was becoming unlikely - the generation had already passed - and the author of Matthew had to change the emphasis away from an impending end of the world. While copying as faithfully as possible from Mark, he changed the position of the sentence about "this generation", relative to the destruction of the great buildings, so that it referred to something else altogether. He added, and emphasised, material where Jesus told the disciples that the end is not yet, and (24:36) that no man knows when the end of the world will occur. This is the most unambiguous statement that only God knows when the world will end, but Luke makes a similar reference.
Luke was somewhat later than Matthew and even more clearly could not say that the destruction of Jerusalem meant the end of the world. This gospel talks about the end of the world as vaguely in the future, keeping the reference to this generation, but in reference to the need to preach the gospel.
Simply put, it isn't for 'us' to know the exact date/time...but, the Bible does offer significant clues....Read Mathew 24 for example. Many more Books prophecy the 'end times'. But, no, the exact date no one knows.
* The Bible does not state that the world will end in 2012. * Here is my answer...the Bible says that Jesus is coming soon...it's does not say a certain time.
Some people believe the world supposed to end in 2060 according to the Bible. Verse Daniel 12:7 It says for a 'times times and a half times'. Issac Newton believed and predicted that destruction would by that date. But who knows? The phrase 'time times and a half a time' does not refer to any date. The answer is nobody knows when the world will end.
Nobody really knows the exact time that this world will end. Jesus didn't even know, 'Only the Father in Heaven knows the exact time.' But don't worry too much. With the end of the world all things will be made new again, we will get a brand new world minus sins and evil.
no. I don't think anything is a sign to the end of the world. the world will end when the time is right. no one knows when and where it will happen.
The bible says nobody knows the time or day when Jesus will return, mot even Jesus knows the day or time. Only God knows it.
No person on Earth will ever know... not ever. That is what it says in the Bible. Only God knows.
nooo,=) cause its not, i don't believe in the bible or anything, but i do believe that only god knows when this world has had its time!
nobody knows who knows when time will nend and when it will begin
No one knows if 2012 is going to be the end of the world. In fact, according to the Bible, after the AntiChrist signs a treaty with Israel, the world has 7 more years left. The Bible also says no one knows the day or time. So, I have a feeling that it will be BEFORE 2012.
May be , and May be not!!only god knows!
The world won't end. People say the world will end because the calender ends at 2012.Example: If the calender ends at 2014 then people are going to say the world is going to end at 2014. The world is not going to end only god knows the right time. THis GirL is SOoOOosoOOOOOOooO rIGHt!!!! OnLY gOD kNOws EverYthing like in the bible he said "no man knows truth or lie i am the way the truth and the life" so true everything she says is true.only god knows when the world will end Ebenezer: Glad you think so.
only God knows when the world is going to end . non religious answer: only time will tell.
Absolutely not, unless that is your time to go. A supposed minister supposedly calculated this based on information in the Bible, but it is not true. According to the Bible, "only God knows the day and hour of the second coming on Jesus Christ. Not even Jesus knows the day." So, do not worry, about the 20th being the end of the world. Just be careful that you don't get into an auto accident worrying about it!
Of course not. The bible clearly says that even Jesus or the angels in heaven do not know the time of Jesus second coming. Only God knows the day and the time.
No one really knows. It is just said in the bible that we all must be ready, because the time of the Lord's coming is any day, the time for him to judge the living and the dead, the worthy and the unworthy.
Because they think they are so intelligent that they can predicct the end of the world but really no one knows. Its just a waste of time. Even the bible says that no one knows when God is going to come for earth and his people
