A reader of The Bible will quickly realize it is primarily the story of Israel - the Old Testament 'Congregation' consisting of 12 tribes and then noting only Judah and Benjamin after the Northern tribes went into captivity - and the New Testament Church of God Jesus established and the Apostles ministered to.

All 'members' of the initial or current 'House of Israel' would have one religion followed. Mix marriages between 'faiths' was frowned upon unless the one not following the Commands of God as given in Scripture converted. In fact, this is one of only two reasons allowed for divorce - the other being adultery.

So, as the male in Scripture is firstborn and is to lead the family in religious matters, with the wife/mother instilling the teachings along with him, it can be deduced that the offspring will follow the teachings of the Bible as their parents did. Only in our modern world is there tolerance and acceptance of other religions within a marriage.

Why is Jainism unpopular in most parts of the world?

Any religion in history has spread mostly under following condition. 1. When people are not following any distinct religion or 2. When people are forced to follow a religion. If a community is not following any religion, than a spiritual leader who guides them initiates a religion. Eg. Muhammad , Jesus etc. If people are already following a religion, than it is difficult for them to migrate to another religion. When a new ruler captured a state, people there were usually forced to follow ruler's religion. This is how people change their religion. At the time when Jainism started, many religion were already flourished. So people were reluctant to leave their religion. Also, no ruler forced this religion upon the people. This is the region why there are few followers of Jainism.

What year was the bible taken out of the school system?

The bible has never been in the school systems as a teaching tool or used in the classroom. Our Constitution cites the freedom of religion as part of the Bill of Rights so we do not have a national religion. The founding fathers were very clear on this concerning the separation of church and state. Because of this whose religion would you use in schools ? A child may pray if they wish and they may have a "bible club" or a religious club, but the teaching of a particular religion or to say a prayer school wide is not something that is done in the educational system. When religion is taught no one religion is featured instead all are approached as part of the curriculum. The teaching of religion has always been left to parents. In the early colonies parents often taught children from the family bible, but the colonial schools didn't teach from the bible.
