There are those that HATE the TRUTH, AND will seek to make GOD a Liar! Verse Examples: Women: Romans 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: MEN: Romans 1:27 - And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

"In the same way the man also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Romans 1:27

If you are talking about The Bible, there are references to sexual behaviors, but there are NO references to gay people.

Generally, most biblical students would consider these 7 verses to be about homosexuality - see related link for more details:

  • Genesis 9:15
  • Judges 19:22
  • Leviticus 18:22
  • Leviticus 20:13
  • Romans 1:26-27
  • 1 Timothy 1: 8-10

Although Jesus did not specifically mention homosexuality, He spoke of all sexual immorality in Mark 20:23. Even thinking about another (man of a woman) is wrong/sin. As is premarital sex.

(Romans 1:25-27) . . .. 26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.

(1 Corinthians 6:9, 10) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God's kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God's kingdom.

(Jude 6-8) . . .. 7 So too Sod′om and Go·mor′rah and the cities about them, after they in the same manner as the foregoing ones had committed fornication excessively and gone out after flesh for unnatural use, are placed before [us] as a [warning] example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire. 8 In like manner, notwithstanding, these men, too, indulging . . .

(Genesis 19:4, 5) 4 Before they could lie down, the men of the city, the men of Sod′om, surrounded the house, from boy to old man, all the people in one mob. 5 And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: "Where are the men who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intercourse with them."

(Leviticus 18:22) 22 "'And you must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.

None. However, there are certain verses that are used against gay people, such as Levitius 18:22.

There is also one verse that seems to support gay people. Genesis 2:18, which says:

וַיֹּאמֶר ה׳ אֱלֹוקים, לֹא-טוֹב הֱיוֹת הָאָדָם לְבַדּוֹ; אֶעֱשֶׂה-לּוֹ עֵזֶר, ×›Ö¼Ö°×?ֶגְדּוֹ׃

And the ETERNAL G-d said: 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper for him.

The Hebrew word for Helper in this verse is ezer (עזר) which is masculine. Now it is true that masculine Hebrew nouns can also be used generically to include the feminine, but if this "helper" was only supposed to be a woman, we would expect the word ozeret (עוזרת). We can conclude that this verse could apply to male helpers or female helpers.

In addition to the verses that some Christians will use to persecute gays and lesbians, there is also one verse that seems to support gay people.

We can conclude that this verse could apply to male helpers or female helpers.

There is one verse that affirms gay relationships. Genesis 2:18, which says:

וַיֹּאמֶר ה׳ אֱלֹוקים, לֹא-טוֹב הֱיוֹת הָאָדָם לְבַדּוֹ; אֶעֱשֶׂה-לּוֹ עֵזֶר, כְּנֶגְדּוֹ׃

And the ETERNAL G-d said: 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper for him.

The Hebrew word for Helper in this verse is ezer (עזר) which is masculine.
