The most obvious example of wise parents in The Bible is not necessarily specific, but is clear nonetheless. In the Ten Commandments, God states, "Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee." This is often interpreted to mean simply that by heeding the counsel of our (presumably wise) parents, we can learn that which is important for us throughout our lives.
