mitochondrion
The bond between the second and third phosphate groups is broken in order to release energy in order for the cell to do work.
They have both Mitochondria and Chloroplasts.
All cells carry out cellular respiration, and it's the mitochandria inside the cell that produces the energy by breaking down the sugars inside the cell.
The mitochondria is where the sugars are broken down and which energy is released.

The bond between the second and third phosphate groups is broken in order to release energy in order for the cell to do work.
It oxidizes sugars to convert chemical bonds to energy.
Sugar is used by cells and is the preferred source of energy. The human body is best suited for glucose, however, other sugars will be used for energy as well. If something is composed of complex carbohydrates it will be broken down into simple sugars and absorbed by the body.
Glucose is the fuel for the cell but it has to broken down first. In the mitochondria, it goes through steps which break it down a bit at a time and this process makes ATP. ATP is the energy coin of the cell which it then spends to do its' work.
ATP and sugars that give the cell energy
Glycogen is usually broken down in the cell. This will happen when the cell needs energy and ATP is broken down to form glucose.
The organelle that releases stored energy which comes mostly from sugars is the mitochondrion. It is called the powerhouse of a cell.
