You need to lower the gas tank and remove it, then pull the pump unit out of the tank. -There are many hard parts to this job, removing the hoses (3) is the first one. - Taking off the bolts that hold the tank straps is also not easy,you WILL need an impact wrench. I have done this twice, once in Taurus, once in Aerostar - about a 4-5 hour job.
