A UK telephone number beginning 0843 (or +44 843) is a non-geographic number, classified as "Special Services basic rate." From a BT landline, the maximum charge is 4.26p/minute (plus VAT); other landline providers may charge more. The maximum charge from a UK mobile is 42p/minute.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)

Area code 020 is London, including the old "Inner London" and "Outer London" zones. The '32' in this example is the first two digits of the 8-digit local number, not part of the area code.

Whereas we had 020 7xxx and 020 8xxx, there is now also 020 3xxx due to the demand for numbers.

In international format, 020 becomes +44 20.

If you are looking at an 11-digit UK phone number, it is a London number.

London's are code is 020, so all UK numbers starting with 020 are London numbers.

For example:

(020) 3210 1234

(020) 7222 1234

(020) 7946 0018

(020) 8123 4567

would all be in London.
