If the distributor is in the engine then remove the cap first. Now pull # 1 plug out , it's the first 1 on front right side of the engine. Now put your finger over the hole tight and get someone to crank the engine over while you are watching the rotor turn. as soon as it blows air out from under your finger pay attition to were the rotor was pointing to and that will be #1 on the cap. Bumb engine over slowly a little at a time while doing this. HOPE THIS HELPS

The ignition module is screwed to the base plate of the distributor. Remove the distributor cap and rotor. Remove the two screws that hold it to the base plate. Unplug the two wiring clips from each end and replace.
