under the passenger back rest. The rest cushion pops out to allow the key to open the tool compartment cover
On a 1997 Suzuki Intruder 800, the tool compartment is located in the sissy bar. Just remove the back rest cushion (it pops off) and use the key to open the compartment behind it.
it is in the cver right in front of the tool compartment where the shift rod hooks up to ngine it is right in front of it has two screws holding it in and has one wire going to it
The tool kit on my 2001 Suzuki 800 Intruder is located behind the backrest cushion, its a hard plastic compartment behind the cushion .... gently pry or pull off the backrest. The cushion it pulls straight off towards the front. It has a keyed lock, remove cover revealing a pouch of tools. Hope this helps

there should be screws and nuts on the inside of the exhaust connecting it to the body, if not then it is an exhaust that needs a sprecial tool, is it a factory exhaust or not? =]

On the drivers side of van, in front of the fuel tank, along the frame. You will need a fuel line tool to release filter.
On the inside of the drivers side framerail, just below the drivers door. You'll need a special tool that removes the fuel line from the filter. You can get this tool at any parts store for 2 bucks.
