The location or even existence of "Abram's Bridge" has never been officially established. While there is much speculation that it must exist in the New Jersey / New York area, there is no actual evidence to show that this is actually true. All other information regarding its location is purely speculative.
A closer scrutiny of the lyrics of Bruce Springsteen shows that while he is a master of the use of actual physical places, he has also on occasion created his own geography. For example, in "The Promised Land" he sings about "Rattlesnake Speedway in the Utah desert" and the "Waynesboro County Line". Record checks indicate that there is a "Rattlesnake Raceway" in Fallon, Nevada, but that there does not exist nor apparently ever existed a "Rattlesnake Speedway in the Utah desert".
Similarly, the only "Waynesboros" in the U.S. are in Virginia and Pennsylvania, not Utah. Also as in "Highway Patrolman", Springsteen sings about being a State Trooper operating out of "Barracks Number 8" in "Perrineville" near the "Michigan line", which itself is near the "Canadian border five miles from here". However, the only "Perrineville" in the U.S. is in New Jersey near Monmouth County, NJ where Springsteen grew up.
As such, until revealed otherwise by Springsteen himself, the actual location of "Abram's Bridge" shall remain a mystery and must be assumed to be a fictional place that existed in the mind of the songwriter and now exists as a very real place for every person who has ever listened to and loved "Darkness On The Edge Of Town".
