Africa is a large continent, and "African music" comes in many forms. Each country in Africa has its own musical traditions and favorite instruments. Thus, each country in Africa (for example Rwanda, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, etc) would have a musical scene in which local musicians entertain the public. But also, some African musicians have become internationally famous: they came to America (or Another Country like England or Canada) and established themselves, blending African musical traditions with the traditions of their new country.
