Circe was said to live on the island of Aeaea, which has never been connected to an actual place. Some later (probably Roman) stories even say she destroyed the island and moved to Italy (to a region called Circeo today).
Home vaguely described it as being far to the east, perhaps near Colchis, the kingdom of her brother Aeetes. Later, the Argonautica would describe it as being in the Tyrrhenian Sea (the same sea that Cape Circeo is on).
Aeaea is near the western coast of Italy, according to some writers.

Aeaea is the home of Circe. There is no way to pinpoint where the island is because of Homer's indeterminate description of its location.
