According to my Chilton repair manual the powertrain control module (PCM) for 1993 + 1994 Ford Rangers / Explorers is mounted low on the firewall , near the drivers side fender , in the engine compartment . The EEC test port is by your power distribution box in the engine compartment (OBD I / EEC IV)
No , OBD II came out in 1996 There should be an EEC TEST connection in your engine compartment , near the battery for your OBD I / EEC IV system
A 1990 Ford Ranger is OBD I / EEC IV - if that's what you are asking
The EEC TEST connection should be in the engine compartment by the Power Distribution Box in a 1995 Ford Ranger ( EEC - IV , OBD I )
On a 1994 Ford Ranger ( which is OBD I , EEC IV ) should have an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician )
On a 1993 Ford Explorer : The EEC TEST connection should be in the engine compartment by the Power Distribution Box * located in the engine compartment , on the passenger side , and I BELIEVE it is BEHIND the PD Box
A 1994 Ford Ranger is OBD I / EEC IV and has an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment by the power distribution box In 1996 , the Ford Ranger changed from OBD I / EEC IV to OBD II / EEC V and has a Data Link Connector in the dash , below the steering wheel , covered by a small removable plastic panel
A 1994 Ford Explorer is EEC-IV / OBD I ( there is an EEC test connection in the engine compartment near the power distribution box )
A 1994 Ford Explorer is EEC-IV / OBD I ( there is an EEC test connection in the engine compartment near the power distribution box )
Your EEC test port is in the engine compartment by your power distribution box EEC IV / OBD I system
On a 1990 Ford Thunderbird : There should be an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment for the OBD I , EEC IV system
It is located on the passenger side fender wall right beside the air filter,it is little rectangular box with EEC written on it.
There are two relays by the fuse block on the left side of the engine compartment. I believe the green one is the EEC relay. One may be located under the fuse block. Pull the 30 amp fuse for the EEC, locate on lid of fuse block, the relay should click when the battery cable is disconnected.
