He's buried in Graceland (his house in Memphis) Unofficial answer (shared by the minority): It amazes me that so many people believe the above answer. I don't. That sad day it was first reported that Elvis Presley's cause of death was an "irregular heart beat." An irregular heart beat is not a cause of death, and people with irregular heart beats tend to be healthier than those with regular heart beats. The error was most likely caused when Elvis wrote his own autopsy report. His hand writing was on that report. That is why I believe he did not die in 1977. Also, his name is spelled wrong on the tombstone at Graceland. I've heard that Elvis faked his death because he turned in some Mafia-type character who swindled him out of more than a million dollars in a bad real estate deal. I heard the US government helped him fake his death. Before that time some woman wrote a book about a rock star who faked his own death, and she named this character "Orion". I believe Elvis found an Elvis imitator named Jimmy Ellis (sometimes called Ellis James) that sounded so much like him that Elvis used him as a front so he could perform, himself, when he felt the desire. Jimmy went by the name "Orion" to copy the book character. Jimmy wore a "Lone Ranger"-type mask on stage. Elvis did too so he could pretend to be Orion. If you search "Elvis Orion" in Googe Videos, I think you will find a video of Elvis as Jimmy Ellis. To answer the above question, I don't really know.
