Catherine of Aragon, Queen of England, Wife of Henry VIII, died in the damp confines of Kimbolton Castle, Cambridgeshire, in January 1536. A funeral procession carried her body to burial in Peterborough Abbey, now Peterborough Cathedral, where it remains a prominent burial site.
