Lennie is in the barn with a small puppy in his hands that he accidentally killed by stroking it really hard!
Curley attacks Lennie out of anger and aggression, blaming him for the death of his wife. In retaliation, Lennie crushes Curley's hand, revealing his immense strength and inadvertently causing Curley significant harm.
Curley's Wife
Curley's wife is implying that Lennie got the bruises on his face from fighting with Curley. She recognizes that Curley is quick to pick fights with the workers on the ranch.

Lennie choked Curley's wife
Lennie killed Curley's wife in the novel "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. This event takes place in Section 5 of the book. One quote from this scene is when Lennie says to Curley's wife, "I done a bad thing. I done another bad thing."
Curley's wife screams because Lennie touches her hair.
George wants Lennie to stay away from Curley and his wife because he knows that Lennie is not able to understand social cues and may inadvertently get into trouble, especially with someone as volatile as Curley. He wants to protect Lennie from dangerous situations and avoid any conflict that could jeopardize their dream of owning a farm.

Lennie was obsessed with soft objects. Curley's wife allowed Lennie to touch her hair and couldn't stop. Lennie was so strong he broke her neck.
