Where is the bank2 sensor 1 located on a 2001 subaru outback 3.0
I just purchased new catalytic converters for my 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback. There are three ports for oxygen sensors. They appear to be on the top of the converters. Oxygen sensors on all cars built in the last 20 years or so are located in the exhaust system. Subaru has them before and after the front catalytic converter.
there are two. both along the exhaust under the car. one just before the catalytic converter and one just after.
The function of the oxygen sensor in a Subaru or any other car is to measure the amount of oxygen that is mixed with exhaust gases.
Both o2 sensors are located on catalytic converter. Sensor closest to front of car is upstream sensor. Sensor closest to rr of car is downstream sensor.
The flasher on the Subaru Outback is located on the left side of the steering column and under the column itself. It is a square of about one inch on each side.
When a Subaru has a faulty O2 sensor the fuel management is out of whack.
