After the time span of long 12 years, veteran and legendary film actress Shabnam is going to perform in a full-length Bangla feature film titled 'Khodar Por-e Maa'.This popular actress will play as ...the key role in this movie. The movie will be directed by Malek Afsari while its story was written by Abdullah Zahir Babu.

Shabnam will perform as the mother of popular hero Shakib Khan while actress Sahara will perform as Shakib's heroin.

The mahurrat of the movie will start on July 25 with the recording of a song.

Earlier in 1999, Shabnam acted in a movie titled 'Ammajaan' which was directed by Kazi Hayat. In that movie, she performed as the mother of late hero Manna. Since then, she was not seen playing any role in any other movie.

About her decision to perform in a new movie, Shabnam said, "I always want a good story and an important character to perform. If I get a good story, I will perform. Other wise not". "Still I didn't go through the complete story. If the story seems good to me, I will definitely perform in the movie", said Shabnam.

Director Malek Afsari said, "The story of the film was written considering the character of Shabnam. She looks perfect for the character".

Shabnam agreed to work with him after listening the story and the contract will be done soon, he believes.
