Open the glove box and disconnect the glove box light. Take out the glove box. (There are 7 "Star" screws holding it in - 4 in the roof and 3 in the bottom under the edge of the "carpet" on the floor of the glove box). Once you have taken the glovebox out you should see the resistor. It has a metal plate covering 3 "springs" and there are two electric sockets plugged into it. Also there are two thick wires (one black and one red) going from the resistor to the blower motor. This can be unplugged from the heater blower motor.
take the whole dash out
you can't.
Try Purple.
Bolted to the engine at the end of the ignition wire
I think the top speed is 210 kmph
How do you replace the heater blower motor resistor on a 1998 gmc serria 1500 p/u
Blower resistor is under the glove box. It is diamond shaped with 2 screws holding it in.
i have done it on the 1998 model, it was a two day job, with two people, you need a haynes manual though
The specification is DOT4. You can use any manufacturer, but is strongly advised to replace all liquid, to wash the sistem with new brand liquid. Normally, Renault recommend Elf products.
Bad blower resistor. I just replaced mine.
On '94 its behind motor under dash on passenger side Passenger side on the bottom of the heater box. You will see a plug with 5 wires on it. Thats the resistor remove the two screws that secure to the heater box and remove it.
the resistor is gonna be right off the blower motor attached to the blower motor by a wire harness should be by the heater core
