you go to the end of the place. then you talk to the sumo. you help him out in the arena. (to beat the sumo, you have to keep dodging him. when he gets angry you stay in the edge and he'll charge. jump over him and the sumo falls off of the stage. after that a mystery person comes to help you out. -6an13771
In West Edo, there are some stairs near the paint lady. Walk up those stairs and you will be at the arena.

If you have caught the Kappa fish for the fisherman under the bridge, you have completed your tasks when you give the bonsai to the Yokozuna's assistant. Now you can enter the Sumo arena in West Edo.
The arena is in West Edo, up the second set of stone steps. Until you complete all of your tasks, the girl in the blue kimono at the arena says "SORRY, FRIEND. THE MATCH WON'T START FOR A LITTLE WHILE."In order to enter the sumo arena, you must accomplish 5 things:Go to the Fortress in East Edo and get the message from Jack and Annie.Go to the Lake and get the mortar, and talk to the old poet.Return from the lake and help the police identify the fish thief (one gives you his betting ticket for the sumo matchUse the rotten fish from the Fortress steps to catch the Kappa fish under the old bridge.Repair the old bridge with the mortar.Take the bonsai trimmer dropped by the girl and go to the Bonsai hut, and trim a bonsai for the sumo wrestler's assistant
East Edo begins at the damaged bridge. You will go left through West Edo before you come back to complete it. There are several tasks to accomplish: 1) go to the Fortress in East Edo to get the message from Jack and Annie 2) pick up the rotten fish on the steps 3) go left, through West Edo to the Lake House, get the the mortar and talk to the old poet 4) return to Edo to help the police identify the fish thief 5) use the rotten fish from the steps to catch the Kappa under the bridge 6) fix the bridge with the mortar 7) pick up the bonsai scissors from the bridge and trim a bonsai for the Yokozuna's assistant At this point, you can go to the Sumo Arena in West Edo to see the Yokozuna.
East Edo is in the eye of the beholder
Go left through the Imperial Gardens to reach the Great Bridge, East Edo (the Fortress), West Edo (the Sumo arena), and the secluded lake. After you are imprisoned by the Shogun's guards, use the magic amulet to return to the treehouse. Now you can go into the garden hut and meet the old woman who trims bonsai trees. She will give you a kimono that fortunately also contains a passport to the city.
