Inside the transmission, on the valve body. It is the part with the long wiring pigtail.
A shift solenoid is located inside the automatic transmission and you should probably leave that job up to a repair shop that specializes in transmissions.
If your not familure with transmissions I would suggest taking to a trans repair shop. There is a diagnostic procedure you must perform to ensure it is a solenoid and not a wiring issue. If you are confident it is the solenoid they are located in the valve body which is inside the trans pan.

Transmission problems can result in costly repair costs. The most common transmission problems are leaks and problems with the torque converter, solenoid or clutch.
The ECU fault code PO753 refers to the Transmission 3rd to 4th gear Shift Solenoid. This is part of the Transmission Relay Circuits. To repair this will require knowledge of the transmission. I suggest unless you are knowledgeable you take this to a transmission professional for repair.

Check the transmission... the unit doesn't give out usually unless there is a transmission is having a problem too. Either way the transmission has to come out.
