I believe that it is underneath the passenger side glovebox welded onto a metal bar. Both are there. If you are just researching it or just curious I found another website that will help you out will options and specs.http://www.vettefacts.com/C2/1965.aspx. Just copy and paste that too if you want. I found on that website that "The "Vehicle Identification Number" (also VIN or serial number) is located on a stainless steel plate welded to the right side hinge pillar cross-brace under the glove box.
