Winstonshire, Mississippi is a small, rural community in Hancock County, Mississippi (southern Mississippi) it lies directly in between Clermont Harbor and Lakeshore. It has a small stream that leads to the Gulf of Mexico. The population was approximately 190 people in 2005. In 1864, a small troop of Civil War soldiers marched through the town to get to Texas through Louisiana. The first unofficial 44th Mississippi regiment was formed here.
