The crank sensor is on the top driver side of the bell housing.
IT SHOULD BE LOCATED UNDER THE MANIFOLD BOLTED TO THE BLOCK
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the front side of the engine block near the flywheel/driveplate
If its a 3.0 td model the crank sensor is situated on the o/s in the engine casing , its accesible from underneath with a long extension and a 10mm socket
Right above the starter, but you'll have to first drop the starter to get access to the CPSensor. my son in law has a 99 suburban 5.7 and the crank sensor is located on the passenger side of engine at the front by the timing chain cover.

It has both, The crank sensor is on the timing cover passenger side behind the balancer. The cam sensor is the distributor, Inside of it.

You have to remove the starter and the sensor is behind there in the rear of the engine block.
Do you have a 4.3L with a distributor? If so, the crank sensor is in the distributor and may also be called an HEI pickup or Hall switch.
All Northstars have 2 crank sensors, there are located just to the side of the oil filter adapter & behind the front motor mount. I strongly you forget about figuring out which one is sensor A & which is sensor B. Replace both! 93-99 are the same part number for both sensors & are interchangeable. 2000+ have 2 different part numbers for each sensor & are not interchangeable with the 93-99 sensor.
