Press the "ENG MET" button again within 5 seconds. Within 5 seconds, press and hold the "RANGE" or "GAUGES" button (1990-1994). The light will flash. When it stops flashing and goes out, the system is reset.

I have a 1990 LS400 and I have never heard of a timing reset button. The timing is set by the timing belt and controlled by the computer. Let me know if you find out there is such a thing. vbd
