On a Lincoln Town Car :
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine
Sensor 2 is AFTER the exhaust has passed through the catalytic converter
Pass side, after the converter.
In the exhaust pipe directly under the passenger front seat...
o2 Sensor Circuit High Volts (Bank2 Sensor2
Pass side behind cat
Standing in front of the car looking at the engine Bank 2 is the 3 cylinders closest to the front of the car. The sensor is located on that bank of cylinders exhaust manifold.
You need to replace the downstream O2 sensor and have a OBD 2 code reader or scanner to erase the code
Bank 1 is the passenger side exhaust pipe that leaves the engine and turns into your catalytic converter and extends to the muffler and ends as exhaust pipe on the passenger side. Sensor 2 would be downstream and behind or after the catalytic converter. Bank two is driver's side, and sensor 2 again is the sensor after the cat.
That would be located under the car just in front of the second catalytic converter.
where is bank1 sensor2 on the 1999 Mitsubishi montery sport 3.5
The bank 2 pre cat O2 sensor is in the rear exhaust manifold, the bank2 post cat O2 sensor is under the car after the catalytic converter, P/S nest to transmission.
Where is the bank2 sensor 1 located on a 2001 subaru outback 3.0
You will have to have access to a scan tool. Autozone does this for free. Bank1=drivers side bank2=passenger side sensor1=before Cat convertor sensor2=after Cat. convertor also referred to "up stream" and "down stream" This just means before(upstream) or after(downstream) of the Catalytic convertor Piece of cake
