Where is bank 1 sensor2 located on a 1999 Ford Explorer?
Bank 1 is the passenger side of your engine on your Ford Explorer
Sensor 2 is in the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
In the power distribution box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment on the drivers side ( mini fuse # 8 ) is a 15 amp fuse for the rear wiper motor on a 1999 Ford Explorer You can view the 1999 Ford Explorer owners manual ( which includes the fuse diagrams ) online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides
I have never come across a 1999 Explorer that had a cabin air filter. I am looking at the Ford online service manual right now, and I don't see a listing for it, nor do I see a picture of it anywhere in the diagram. All indications are that vehicle never came equipped with one. My 1999 Ford Explorer Does in deed have a cabin filter, it is located behind the glove compartment.
