How do you locate the blower resistor on a Nissan sunny 1996?

If it looks the same as the European Sunny the resistor is located on the (right hand drive) passanger side. Under the dashboard (or under the glove box) the blower is located. The resistor is located in the blower housing (so the heat is blown away). The resistor is connected by a 4 pin long connector. Pull this one out and unscrew the 2 screws that are located near the 4pin. Then you can get the whole (creditcard) resistor out. Replacing the resistor in Holland costs about 60 euros, but in the us the come around $15.

Where is the blower motor resistor on a right hand drive jeep Cherokee 2002?

On my 1997 RHD Cherokee, the restistor is under the dash on the left hand side. I had to remove a protective panel to access the resistor. My resitor is held in place by two screws and has a four wire connector. Good luck!

Where is the blower motor resistor switch located on a 1998 Chevrolet c1500?

Resistor is located on top of ductwork behind glovebox. 1. Revove glovebox door in which glove box is attached. 2. Remove plug from resistor--small flat screwdriver helpful to pry plug clip open while pulling upwards by wires. 3. Remove 2 resistor screws with 7mm socket and 1/4 drive ratchett. 4. Pull resistor up and out. Tedchap was here.

Your ac fan switch only works on 4th speed whats wrong?

The thermal fuse in the blower motor resistor pack has blown. This is a very common occurrence on this car. A replacement resistor pack costs about $18. It is fairly easy to replace if you have mechanical experience. Search the web for "blower motor resistor replacement sebring 1999" and you'll find lot's of explanations of how to swap it out. One caution> DO remove the pack by taking out the two 8mm screws, THEN disconnect the connector. Trying to disconnect the connector while the pack is still in position will drive you nuts. Spray the inside of the connector with silicone spray (from your parts store where you get the resistor pack, about $3 for a can) before putting the connector back together (don't get it on the resistor coils). This will make the connector slide together much easier.

Where is the blower motor resistor located on a 2003 Chevy impala?

Remove the trim panel under the glove box (one press in plastic stud and two plastic latches). You will see the bottom of the blower motor. The blower motor resistor is between the blower motor and the firewall. To replace it, first unplug the blower motor (connection on the firewall-side of the motor...note: press opening between leads to release wire connector). There are three screws that hold the blower motor in. They are equally spaced in the mounting ring, so one is toward the firewall. Note: mine required a Torx bit. You will probably need to remove the wiring loom retainer to get the motor out - it sticks through a bracket by the motor - squeeze the end together with a pair of needle nosed pliers, and it will pop back through the bracket. There are three hex head screws that hold the resistor in place. One is easily accessible, once the blower motor is removed. The other two are on the firewall-side of the resistor and are kind of embedded in the rubber-coated noise barrier that is under the carpet. Pull up the trim piece that covers 2/3rds of the door threshold (it just pulls up, pushes back in). Pull the carpet back toward the seat. This will expose a larger area of the black-rubber-coated noise barrier. I made a couple of short cuts in my noise barrier and pulled it away from the resistor mounting screws. Note: The mounting holes for the resistor are open-ended slots. Take out the screw that is most accessible, generously loosen the screws near the firewall. Remove the resistor, and install the new one. Start the screw that had been removed, then tighten all three screws. Test the blower motor (hook leads directly to the battery and/or check for continuity with an ohm meter) before reinstalling it - most resistor failures are due to a defective motor! A defective motor will cause the new resistor to fail (again). Install motor. Reinstall air hose to motor - it connects to ductwork by the resistor. Reinstall wire loom retainer. Start car and test run blower. Fold noise-barrier and carpet back into place. Reinstall trim panel in door threshold. Reinstall trim panel under glovebox. Go for a test drive and enjoy!

What should you do before starting an inboard or stern drive engine?

Run the blower. (To get the gas fumes out)

Where is the fan resistor located for 2000 Montana?

The fan resistor is located above the passenger's toes next to the firewall. Remove the cosmetic pressed panel above the toes. I found it easier to remove the fan first giving better access to the 3 screws holding the resistor. I used a 1/4" square drive universal on the socket to drive the screws. A flexible drive extension did not work as well. It is a tight fit. The new resistor ($34) was much more robust than the the original.

How do you get the fourth screw out of the housing over the blower motor to get to the 3 screws holding the blower motor to replace the blower motor on a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport?

Use a GM carborate adjusting tool, it has a flex at the drive end (1/4in drive)and a 1/4in drive philups bit, if you cannot get this tool, use a 1/4 flex dtive bit driver w/philups bit.

Why does the snow blower power slip in the drive system?

Huskee snow blower blows now good but needs help to move forward. Wheels do not spin in any situation.

Why does the AC-Heater blower fan only work in the high position on a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan?

sounds like a bad resistor block. you need to replace the blower motor resistor. It costs 20 to 30 dollars. This is easy to do, but the reason it is blowing resistors may be that the blower motor is starting to fail or just overheating. To replace the blower motor in the front of the vehicle requires the dash to be removed on a 2001. A very poor design. 4to 5 hours in a shop $$$$$$$. ----------- Easy fix. (1) Drive to nearest large auto parts store; (2) Buy a blower fan resistor for a 2001 thru 2007 Caravan (costs about $20 at parts store and about $50 at dealer); (3) Drive home and remove keys from ignition; (4) Grab flashlight and small socket wrench set; (5) Open front passenger door and knell on ground; (6) Open glove box & take everything out; (7) Press on sides glove box and allow it rotate down (everything would have fallen out if you had not removed the contents; (8) Shine flash light into open hole where glove box was and look for thing about the size pack of cigarettes that has two wiring harnesses connected to it (one large and one small connector); (9) Remove connectors and remove two screws holding in resistor; (10) Screw in new resistor and plug in connectors; (11) Put stuff back in glove box; (12) Test the fan at all speeds. ----------- I discovered my fan motor resistor block (as described above) had an open diode causing the problem. I soldered in a 30A 50V dual schottky diode in its place (about $4 at the local electronics store). You can touch the diode each way with fan set to low speed to figure out which way to install the diode.

Where is the blower switch resistor?

The blower motor resister is usaully located close to the blower motor, either under the dash or under the hood on the firewall. It all depends on your year, make and model. i have a 2004 trailblazer

How fast can you drive in 4 wheel drive jeep?

as fast as u can get before ur diff. flies apart.....just kidding......if u have the full time option it doesnt matter but unless ur in mud, snow, or offroading u dont need to run 4x4 in non fulltime setups.....
