Don't know for sure but check in the radiator overflow. Tip: The radiator can be full but if the overflow is low or empty it will trigger the light.
Most likely brake fluid. Check the master cylinder level.
Add it the same place you check it, through the dipstick tube. Check the level with the transmission hot, in park, engine running, on level ground. Use only Dexron fluid. Do not overfill!!!!!
There is no dipstick on a '98 Oldsmobile Cutlass, so you must take it to a mechanic and have the transmission serviced after 100,000 miles (per the owner's manual). Poor design if you ask me. There is a dipstick probably with a red cap on it that pulls out. Have the car on a level surface, engine at operating temperature. Pull stick out wipe it off and look on the stick for possible specifics. It may say "check when hot at idle in park" or " check while hot in neutral". etc. Insert back in and see where level is versus where it should be.
The color of the wire going to the fuel tank sending unit from the tank level instrument on the dash is taupe (or light tan). 1970 Olds Cutlass SX
CHECK YOUR OIL LEVEL
A 1992 Oldsmobile may not shift out of park because the transmission is stuck. Check to transmission fluid to ensure it is at the proper level.
It is located at the rear of the van on the driver side behind the gas tank
I own a 93 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL. It has three fuse blocks two of them are under the hood. One on the driver side above the wheel well between the washer fluid refill and the power supply box that jumps off the battery. The other one is located on the passenger side towards front of the car and on the outer edge furthest away from the motor. The third is located in the cab on the passenger side. When you open the front passenger door it will be located on the side of the dash. It has a removable face and is about level with the glove box. the door has to be open for this panel to be exposed. All three boxes have covers with diagrams on them. I hope this helps with your 94.
If you mean the float that measures fuel level, it's in the gas tank.
The Cutlass "S" was a sport-oriented trim level slotted between the base Cutlass and the 4-4-2.
Park the car on a level surface. Drain the oil, change the filter, and add 4.5 quarts of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and run for 1 minute. Shut down and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level and add as necessary to reach the full mark. You now know the capacity.
