Never seen one of those require a relay... typically just a fuse for that.
a relay does not control both dome light and the radio.
The dome light relay in a 2003 Ford Excursion is responsible for controlling the vehicle's interior lights, including the dome light. If the dome light is not functioning properly, it could be due to a faulty relay, blown fuse, or issues with the light switch. To locate the relay, check the fuse box under the dashboard or in the engine compartment, referencing the vehicle’s manual for the specific relay location. Replacing the relay is typically straightforward and can resolve many dome light issues.
The dome light in a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim may not turn on due to several potential issues. First, check the bulb to ensure it's not burned out. Additionally, inspect the door switches; if they are faulty or stuck, they might not activate the light when the doors are opened. Lastly, verify the fuse related to the interior lights, as a blown fuse could also prevent the dome light from functioning.
In the head liner right by the dome light and sun roof control
The cig lighter fuse runs on the same fuses as the dome light and radio.
it is in the door side panel under the regular fuses it is the relay on the left hand side. in my neon it was green. you may have to remove part of the dash to get the relay out.
When the dome light stays on in an slk320 one of several things could be causing it. A door switch could be bad, the manual light switch could be stuck, or the light relay could be stuck. Any of these could cause the problem.
YES , fuse # 26 , 10 amp , for interior lamp relay , power window relay , dome / map lamp , GEM , electronic shift control module , electronic shift relay , and battery saver relay
there unfortunatly is no relay switch for the horn. It is on a fused circuit usaually with the dome light and beeper that sounds when the door is open and after you start the vehicle
Slot number #14 Amperage #15 amp Description; Interior lamps, delayed accessory relay, rear wiper relays
Anything pulling power from the battery or a battery with a dead cell. Can be a dome, trunk, under hood light on, or relay stuck,
There is normally a relay next to the dome light under the roof liner in your vehicle. By pulling the roof liner back some you maybe able to see the relay. Chances are this relay has failed. Ford had an issue with these relays at one point causing electrical fires from overheating; I know because our Ford Aerostar almost caught fire because of this relay. Have the relay checked and if it isn't that then have a look at your fuses, also you could have a worn door switch which may not be working due to corrosion. Start with the fuse then the switch and lastly the relay, it's always easiest to start with the simple items first. Good luck....
