Pull the oil plug located at the base of the oil pan.
The spark plug gap on a 2000 Kodiak 400 is .024
.6mm or 23/1000's
There is no oil filter.. The drain plug is on the left side of the bike.
The drain plug is on the frame, just behind the front wheel.
Which drain plug are you trying to locate?

It doesn't have a drain plug. You have to remove the oil pan to drain.
According to the Yamaha Parts Catalog online you need Yamaha Part # 94701-00333-00, SPARK PLUG NGK Standard DR8EA #7162 Gap .024 See Links. Hope This Helps.
The automatic transmission does not have a drain plug. You remove the pan to drain the fluid.
The 1998 model, Yamaha 250 hp outboard, requires an NGK BR9HS-10 spark plug, gapped to .039 in.
