movie channel apparently season 7 starts today and its supposed to be free on showtime but those crooks at eastlink put it on the movie channel so now we have to pay to watch it sincerely another victim of eastlink

A couple of companies that provide satellite direct tv in the USA are the Dish Network and DIRECTV. Other smaller companies offer similar services but these are the most established companies in the USA.
Right now you cant get Sportsnet 1 in Canada unless you are a Rogers cable subscriber. This leaves out those of us who are subscribers to Shaw, Cogeco or Eastlink. Too bad, so sad as far as Rogers is concerned. They are trying to reach a deal to show Jays games on these other cable networks - but it will eventually cost us money to subscribe to this new channel which was created to earn more money for Rogers.
As of June 2012. It is not available in Canada. You can use it but some apps won't connect and you will not be able to use a lot of cool features (like TV & Movies app that search content on your TV provider). There is plan to make it available in 2012 this fall by Sony and maybe other brands.
