How do you replace an alternor on a 97 pathfinder
Trouble code P0446 means: Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit
A solenoid valve is a electromechanically operated valve that is controlled by an electric current. It essentially controls the cylinders and fluid power in the motor of your Nissan Pathfinder.
next to the evap can on the right side of the car behind the front bumper you will also see the vacuum switch in line with it. as the flow moves it will be the purge valve then the vacuum switch.

The base model pathfinder comes with a single camshaft. There is an upgraded vq33e that comes with twin cams found in the 97 and up SE (special edition) model.
This is a code for "system too rich Bank 1". To me it sounds like the first step would be to block the evap flow to the engine and see if the po172 code stays cleared! If it does then I'd suspect a valve/solenoid in the evap system isn't staying sealed and causing the engine to run too rich which is also a cause for a po455 dtc! the 1451 dtc points to an issue with the cannister vent solenoid which could be causing all 3 codes.
Evaporative emission control problem, most likely the carbon canister or associated hoses. It could possibly be the solenoid valve, but that usually sets a different code (P1451).
How to install valve cover to a 97 Nissan maxima.
On my 1995 Corolla, it is on the back side of the EVAP unit, which is attached to the left (driver side) of the engine block. Another way to locate it is by following the thin vacuum line from the charcoal cannister at the left rear of the engine compartment, this line enters the TVV (Thermal Vacuum Valve) that extends out of the EVAP unit. Perhaps the 97 is setup the same way, but I'm not certain.
