The Exhaust Back Pressure Control Valve Module is located in the front part of the Engine Compartment. It is just ahead of the Fuel Filter assembly, and behind the belt tensioner. It is powered by a three plug connecting wires harness.
you do have an ( 02 ) sensor on the exhaust system
No. They are in the exhaust pipe.
Look on exhaust manifold.
The vehicle speed sensor is the abs sensor on top of the rear axle.
It is in the exhaust after the converter.
exhaust pipe
There are two in the exhaust, behind the engine. There are two in the exhaust, behind the engine.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I assume that would be : Bank 2 , sensor 1 Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in a 1999 Ford Explorer Sensor 1 would be the oxygen sensor somewhere in the exhaust before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream sensor )
your bank 2 sensor is the o2 sensor on your passenger side exhaust manifold
It doesn't have it's own sensor. It recirculates exhaust gas according to the engine temperature and 02 sensor.
in the intake manfold
Ford did not start putting egr valves on a diesel engine until late build 2003 when the 6.0l engine came out. Even the early build 2003 ford diesel trucks that still had the 7.3l did not have an egr valve. the only thing close on a 7.3l is the ebp sensor. and that measures the backpressure in the exhuast.
