No, the engine will still crank over but will not start if this sensor is bad because it controls the fuel injection circuit.
my alarm keeps going of and wont start.
there is no choke it has crossfire injection . which two throttle body injector assemblies. the problem may be a bad coolant temp sensor if start up is hard.
it sounds like it might be the cam sensor in the injection pump.
No it will not start need to change the cam sensor & crank sensor!
In most modern cars this sensor 'tells' to engine control (computer) the position of the crankshaft in ratio with the camshaft; both are syncroniced to an especific position to produce the combustion... (that means the camshaft sensor to do the same) ... with this readings (from both sensor) the computer fire up the fuel injectors & the ignition coil... by controling the frecuency of the fuel injection your engine is managed to proper performance & this start with the crank sensor trigger signal.

i am looking were the cooled start sensor is on a 94 Saturn is at
Yes it does have a cold start sensor. It is located on top of a throttle body.
You need to check if there is a spark at the plugs & also if fuel is getting to the cylinders. The micra has a fuel injection fuse in the fuse box located on the front panel. It may also be a problem with the crank position sensor or the engine coolant tmprature sensor.
check your fuses check ignition switch
