I haven't seen this for myself , but I understand on the 4 door it is under the Explorer on the passenger side , by the catalytic converter , covered by a metal plate that you have to remove , then you have to remove a plastic cover to gain access to the fuel filter
where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 ford explorer
Where is the cabin filter located on an Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2008?
The 2003 Ford Explorer cabin air filter can be found behind the dashboard, on the passenger side. The cabin air filter should be labeled as such.
Underneath the vehicle, on the passenger side, on the top front of the fuel tank. Remove the heat shield and the black fuel filter cover. and there it is.. For the Ford Explorer XLT.

I don't think there is one. I just looked in the glovebox manual for my 2003 Limited and could find no mention of one
Driver side. Right along side the bottom radiator hose.
Well the lines from the tank to the filter require a special tool you can buy at Auto Zone for about $6.
I was looking at the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Owner Guide and it does not show an air filter for the cabin / passenger compartment , so I would say ( No )
On a 2003 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter , SOHC , V6 engine : The Mass Air Flow sensor is located between the upper section of the engine air filter housing and the large diameter engine air intake tube
On a 2003 Ford Explorer : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
It doesn't have one !!!!
