in the gas tank
The 1987 Chevrolet Suburban Scottsdale fuel pump relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The fuel pump relay switch will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. you need to remove the tank to access it.
There is none.
No.
Chevrolet doesn't use inertia switches.
The fuel pump in your vehicle is not rebuildable.
gotta take it out
You will have to drop the fuel tank to replace it as it is in the top of the tank.
Unless there is an access panel above the fuel pump inside the vehicle, you must remove the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel pump.
You listed this in a Chevrolet suburban category so I assume that is what you have. On the Chevrolet suburban you must drop the fuel tank in order to access the fuel pump. There possibly could be an access panel above the tank inside the vehicle so be sure and take a look, but it is doubtful.
most likely you will have to drop the fuel tank because most fuel pumps are in the tank.
There is not a fuel shut off switch on a Chevrolet. Are you sure you aren't getting fuel? You could have a bad fuel pump. While cranking the engine, have someone beat on the bottom of the fuel tank. If it starts you have a bad pump.
